YOU CAN DO ANYTHING

About me

I first came across self-hypnosis about eight years ago. I had just been released from the Israeli compulsory national service after nearly two years, during which all I thought about and wished for was to be free to do what I wanted. And so the time came, and I expected life to be ecstatic, I thought I would be running around all day smiling, full of energy, creativity, passion for life - which would embrace me and offer me adventures and exciting experiences… I thought I would be finally free to express myself; my thoughts, my feelings, my ideas… FINALLY, I was going to live my life to the full, on my own, just me and the big wide world…everything was just waiting for me…I was going to dance and sing in the streets, and the whole world was going to smile at me and welcome me into my new future…nothing was going to stop me!

…needless to say, things didn’t turn out exactly like that…

I didn’t sing and dance in the streets, there were no wild adventures awaiting me (not just yet anyway), and I was certainly not feeling free…

And so, realising it wasn’t actually the army service that was holding me back and stopping me from being who I wanted to be, I started to become more aware of what was really stopping me; which was, really, nothing, but myself; my own negative thoughts, beliefs, past experiences and fear. After understanding for myself things of the past and the way they affected my ‘personality‘, I decided that they may have influenced me until now, but they need not determine my future. Who is really stopping me from behaving completely different tomorrow? Why can’t I just wake up and behave exactly as I would like myself to be?

I came across a book about self hypnosis. This book was just lying around my house - no one really read it through and didn’t take it seriously either. So I started reading the book and practicing it’s exercises.

It took a lot of practice, but I was very determined to see some results, and I was also very much convinced of this incredible power we have within us; after all, we do only use about 10 percent of our brain, don’t we? Well what does the other 90 percent do? In addition to this, I really enjoyed these exercises, as they were relaxing and uplifting. They became a habit.

Months later, I was becoming aware of the fact that this person who I wanted to be, I was gradually turning into. Maybe, I was this person all along? Otherwise, why would I feel I want to be this ‘different’ person? Perhaps this ‘person’ just wanted to come out?

After spending a few months in London, I went travelling to India and Thailand. While I was there I took Reiki courses, 1 and 2. This, too, had a great effect on me, and actually was very similar to doing self-hypnosis, and utilising a trance state, in this case, for healing; mental and emotional as well as physical. This, too, made me realise even more how much our state - even our physical one, is determined by the way our mind is conditioned to operate, and how we can change ourselves when learning to take more control of the thoughts that we let enter our minds, learning to change what we can, and learn and make the best of what we can't.

Coming back to London, I first took a few art courses as I am also a painter. I didn’t actually realise that you could practice hypnotherapy as a profession until I came across the course at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis. I took the certificate course and naturally followed to the Diploma course…

Taking the Sedona Method® course has also had a huge impact on my life, helping to free myself of different limitations i held for myself in mind. And what i found to be so beautiful in this method, is it's simplicity and the fact that it takes almost no effort to use it!
using this method in conjuction with hypnosis proved to me to be even more powerful in helping realising the freedom that we are.

And so, I chose to do this professionally as I truly believe that thess are such important and powerful tools.

There is no argument about our mind being such an integral part of ourselves. How is it that we have not been taught how to properly use it for our benefit (and surely our benefit is what it is naturally intended for)? I believe that this should be taught and spread around as much as possible. This is about empowering individuals, or rather helping them regain the power they have always had.

I truly feel that this can help us to live a more independent, fulfilling and rewarding life, learning to create ourselves and shape our lives around us and our environment - learning to change things we are not happy with, and how to deal better with the things we cannot change - how to accept them and use them in a more positive, productive and beneficial way.

Becoming more aware of our true powerful and creative nature and source, we can become more aware of this true nature in all human beings. This can also bring more understanding, compassion and tolerance to our society. Learning to appreciate our freedom, to change and be who we want to be, appreciating our individuality will only bring us closer to each other; appreciating differences and imperfections, perhaps seeing them as fascinating and beautiful rather than threatening. Perhaps we could live more in love and freedom, and less in fear.

This journey of mine has not ended. It is never-ending and i am constantly learning. But I know the abilities we posses inside, the ability of our minds, and I realise that dreams of ours, feelings of wanting to be more than we are; “better”, more powerful, more talented, or more of anything, - are there so that we make the move to become that. They are a sign for us - telling us about our true potential. Since if we wouldn’t have feelings like these, we wouldn’t strive to anything, would we?

I have gained my diploma from the London College of Clinical Hypnosis. I am also a member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
I have completed the Sedona Method® Coaching Level 1 course.
